Fear not, For I Am with You

Ask anyone on this planet questions such as these: "What do you fear?" (daily, or for the future), "When do you feel afraid?" (specific times), "Have you ever felt terrified?" (a horrible memory from the past), and you will get a wide variety of heartfelt answers. There will be many living with exactly the same fears; others will have fears and anxieties unique to them - situations that wouldn't bother other people. (We are all different and should respect each other).

But the one true God, the Creator of this world, is someone you can talk to about your fears and worries, even though you cannot see Him. It's called prayer. Praying is just telling Him what's on your mind, asking for His help and guidance, and remembering to thank Him for the good things He provides. His Word, the Bible, was written by a number of people with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Praying to the God you can't see gets results that you can see. All you need is faith.

Below are a selection of Bible verses which may be of help to you.

"Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Don't be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9)

"He listens to my cry for help and will answer my prayer" (Psalm 6:9)

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; I will fear no-one" (Psalm 27:1)

"The helpless call to Him, and He answers" (Psalm 34:6)

"I praise God, because He did not reject my prayer or keep His constant love from me" (Psalm 66:20)

"He listens to me every time I call to Him" (Psalm 116:2)

"Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking Him with a thankful heart" (Philippians 4:6)

"But when you pray, you must not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind" (James 1:6)
